New Linux devices for the past week
LinuxDevices.com is one of my favorite sites. They continuously announce and publicize new devices and gizmos that come readily installed or with a potential to have a Linux -based operating system. Echoing all those announcements here would probably not very productive, as much as I may feel the urge to do so. I’ll just content to looking an overview and summary of the announcements for the past week (since may 1, to be exact), which is already quite a bit;
- Rugged PDA available with Linux
- World’s first “pico projector” debuts — but where’s the Linux?
- Miniature Linux PC targets military apps
- Linux-compatible SBC boasts small size, low heat
- Linux-friendly SBC hosts dual quad-core Xeons
- Panel PCs support PoE, Linux
In just one week, we saw the announcement of a PDA, a small projector, a rugged military machine, couple of development boards and some quite cool water-resistant panel PCs. And probably not even the guys at linuxdevices are fast enough to detect *everything* that gets released out there.
Seems like “Linux on any device” is becoming a reality really fast
