Melas is an uncomplicated build and packaging tool used to compile software and create installable package files. Melas can be used to reliably reproduce builds and perform dependency tracking. Cross-compilation is supported through integration with Sbox2.

Melas v0.10.0 is a feature and bugfix release over the previous v0.9.0 release. Changes and additions in this release include:

• Fixed a minor bug affecting –config command line parameter pathname resolving when used in connection with –rundir parameter
• Dependency strings generated by mls-build are now compatible with Debian and Ubuntu
• Added ability to skip compilation of mls files based on rules in mls files (eg. not build some packages for certain architectures)
• Integrated fakeroot for install/installer targets (for special files and to preserve file permissions and parametrers)
• Default configure, build and install targets now check if appropriate files are present (configure, Makefile) and do not fail the build if not
