About the Igelle project
The Igelle project is an open source software development project that produces software that will enable a new generation of open and interoperable connected devices to talk to one another and share data. The Igelle project produces the Igelle Operating System, a Linux-based operating system that is designed to be portable, and that can run on various devices including, but not limited to, cellular phones, smart phones, PDAs, internet tablets, laptops, UMPCs, desktop computers, server computers and potentially other embedded computers and home electronics.

Igelle.net, “Linux on any device”, is a blog/news site complementing the Igelle project, and provides news, information, articles and announcements related to the world of Linux-based devices. Igelle.net also acts as the development blog of the Igelle project, and therefore carries release announcements of the Igelle project’s various software components; in addition, igelle.net also provides tips and tricks and howtos/tutorials for performing certain software development or system administration -related tasks; and occasionally we publish also general software development or other techie -related articles, as we may find exciting information to publish.
The main audience of this site is therefore technically literate people, software developers, gadget enthusiasts, and other people who are interested about Linux/open source software and computers/devices/handsets.
